¿Esto es un Campeonato? / It's a Championship?

¡Por supuesto que sí! El primer nombre del Torneo no era azaroso, decidimos llamarlo: Campeonato Internacional de Escudos, o en inglés: International Badge Championship. Un torneo es una competición reglada, siendo la regla más fundamental que no podrían participar escudos copiados de webs como PSGoodies. Al participante le corresponde cumplir las normas y por nuestra parte, hacerlas cumplir. La primera responsabilidad, como en el fútbol, corre por parte de los jugadores, engañar a los organizadores puede ser fácil, pero el que lo hace debe cargar con el estigma del "fair play". Ser justo ganador es ganar conforme a las reglas, no respetarlas vuelve al campeón "infame".

Of course! The first name of the tournament was not random, decided to call: Campeonato Internacional de Escudos, or in English: International Badge Championship. A tournament is a formal competition, the most fundamental rule that can not participate badges copied from websites like PSGoodies. The participant is responsible meet the rules and for our part, enforce them. The first responsibility, as in football, are the players, maybe can be easy make a cheating, but who does it must bear the stigma of "fair play". To be a fair winner is win according to the rules, not following them does to the  champion, "infamous".

¿La nacionalidad es un factor? / Does nationality is a factor?

Otra vez hay que volver sobre el nombre del Campeonato, es una competición Internacional. Aunque los participantes se inscribieron a título individual, la votación puede considerar elementos más allá de los gustos de cada uno.

Obviamente, desde la Organización queremos que gane el mejor escudo. Yo tengo mis favoritos, algunos de ellos ya quedaron eliminados. ¿Por qué? La respuesta es compleja: hay gustos como colores; hay amigos que participan; hay amigos que votan; hay personas que pertenecen a nuestra Federación, o que en último término, tienen la misma nacionalidad del votante.

No voy a extenderme mucho, solo voy a mencionar una anécdota del Foro Portugués de Portugal: "Votar (por un compatriota) es un deber cívico", fue algo que dijo un usuario. Brasil decidió tomar el mismo curso, es una idea que también leí en el Foro Latinoamericano. El Campeón de este torneo necesitará de votos, apelar a la Comunidad a la que se pertenece será una buena manera de conseguirlos.

Again we must come back to the name of the Championship, it's an international competition. Although participants were enrolled individually, the vote may consider elements beyond tastes of each.

Obviously, from the Organization we want to win the best badge. I have my favorites, some of them already were eliminated. Why? The answer is complex: there are tastes and colors; friends involved; There are friends who vote ; there are people who belong to our Federation , or ultimately, users in with the same nationality of the voter.

I will not dwell much , I'll just mention an anecdote from Forum Portuguese Portugal: "The vote (by a compatriot) is a civic duty" was something said by a user. Brazil decided to take the same way, it's an idea I've also read in the Latin American Forum . The champion of this tournament need to have votes, and appeal to the community to which they belong is a good way to get them.

¿Quién debería ganar? / Who should to win?

Creemos que resulta obvio: ¡el mejor!. Obviamente, el que se adecúe a los principios y reglas. Es un concurso de "escudos", no es un concurso de diseño. Una insigna es un emblema, una representación que puede resumir el carácter del portador. Como tal, un escudo es también un mensaje, y por lo tanto, el que resulte vencedor no necesita ser el más bonito, aunque sí, debería ser el que mejor proyecte el mensaje de su portador.

We think it is obvious: the best! Obviously, that suits the principles and rules. It is a contest of "badges", is not a design competition.
