Valeriu Eremia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Valeriu Eremia managed to get in a good position for a shot. Marafet FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Valeriu Eremia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Răzvan Balint breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 16 minutes into the game, Cristian Domnescu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. HaYhuY's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Marafet FC the free kick. Valeriu Eremia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Valeriu Eremia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Răzvan Balint having to interfere. In the 24th minute, Valeriu Eremia reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Răzvan Balint. The goal made the score 1-0. Marin Mareș made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Constantin Necula in the 31st minute of play. In the 35th minute, Valentin Stolniceanu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The HaYhuY fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Marin Mareș made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valentin Stolniceanu in the 43rd minute of play. Valeriu Eremia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Valeriu Eremia was the one to do the kick off. Răzvan Balint came out of the goal in the 51st minute to try and stop a shot by Marafet FC's Ionel Dărmănescu. But to his dismay, Ionel Dărmănescu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. In the 56th minute, Constantin Necula got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alex Mărăcuță's shot from long distance in the 60th minute was not bad at all, but Marafet FC's Marin Mareș knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. After having played for 63 minutes, Ionel Dărmănescu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Marafet FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ionel Dărmănescu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, HaYhuY's Cristian Domnescu got a free kick in the 64th minute. If Valeriu Eremia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. HaYhuY's Răzvan Balint played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valeriu Eremia in the 72nd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Valentin Stolniceanu managed to get in a good position for a shot. HaYhuY's supporters rose to their feet, but Valentin Stolniceanu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marin Mareș breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 86th minute of the match, Valentin Stolniceanu tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Marin Mareș saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After a rather tough play, Marafet FC's Petru Pipirig got a free kick in the 87th minute. After 93 played minutes Marafet FC got a freekick which was hit by Moise Mărăcuță. HaYhuY's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
