Crew View 2024

10-10-2024 11:00

Time flies when you're having fun, and this edition of Crew View is long overdue! While many community discussions have moved to other platforms, it's encouraging to see the strong, continued engagement in the game. As you've been working hard on managing your team, we've been just as busy behind the scenes, enhancing and improving the game.

Mobile Optimization and Design Updates

One of our key priorities has been optimizing the game for mobile devices. We know that design updates can spark a wide range of opinions and we're fully committed to listening to your feedback. In some instances, we've even rolled back changes when the community preferred the previous design.

Recent and Upcoming Updates

We've recently rolled out several smaller but impactful updates, including:

  • New notifications when a player returns from Training Camp
  • Enhancements to the 3D match viewer (both for hockey and football)
  • A range of minor fixes

Additionally, we've increased the limit on foreign players and adjusted the "country groups" to better reflect each country's player base. The expanded foreign player limit is designed to assist smaller ManagerZone nations, while also adding an extra layer of fun and flexibility for everyone.

What's Next: Exciting New Stats Coming Soon

We've heard your requests for more in-depth stats to help refine your strategies, and we're excited to share that we're working on several new football statistics. Here's a sneak peek at some of the data we're hoping to present to you in the future:

  • Assists
  • Distance covered per player
  • Average speed per player
  • More passing stats, and more

Please note that these stats are still in development, and some details may change before the final release.

Expanding Our Reach: Upcoming Marketing Campaign

We are also planning a marketing campaign this fall with the aim of attracting more new Managers to the game. While traditional methods like Facebook and Instagram have proven challenging for finding new players, we'll be trying some innovative approaches to connect with our core audience. Only time will tell if these efforts are successful, but we're optimistic!

Fighting Cheaters: Strengthening Fair Play

Lately, there have been discussions in various forums about cheating, particularly the concern that ManagerZone is overrun by multi-users. This is a topic which we normally prefer to discuss behind closed doors, but we will make an exception here. We want to address these concerns openly.

While the number of cheaters is relatively small, they can create significant disruptions, leading to the perception that the issue is bigger than it actually is. In many cases, when a Manager suspects cheating, Crew or GAs have already taken action — such as suspending one or several accounts. However, since a suspension is not visible to other Managers, it may seem like no action has been taken.

Some cheaters invest significant effort in creating new teams and bypassing security measures, but our tools are also becoming increasingly advanced in order to face this threat, and we are currently working hard to improve our tools and processes even further. Furthermore, we want to clarify that paying users are not treated any differently: anyone caught cheating will be banned, regardless of whether they have paid money in the past or not. Our top priority is maintaining a fair and balanced gaming environment for all.

While GAs play a vital role in maintaining fair play, they don't have access to all the anti-cheating methods we use. To protect the integrity of these tools, we keep some of our strategies confidential.

As a rule, we don't engage in public accusations in forums. Instead, we encourage anyone who suspects cheating to report it through our dedicated support form, where we can properly investigate and take action.

Forum Rules Update

To prevent the spread of false information and misconceptions, we've updated our forum rules. A new section has been added, stating that discussions related to cheating are not permitted in public forums. To ensure that all players are aware of these changes, you will be required to accept the updated forum rules before regaining access to the forums.

As always, thank you for your continued support and dedication to ManagerZone. Together, we'll keep making this game better!
