U21 Guatemala's Guillermo Aguilar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robert Bendjedid in the 7th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Adolfo Del Carmen in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Abderaouf Bencherif prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Mohammad Lamine came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the U21 MZ Country fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mohammad Lamine couldn't finish the play. U21 Guatemala's Guillermo Aguilar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save U21 Guatemala from getting a goal against them. Guillermo Aguilar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Djamel Daham, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Djamel Daham in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Guillermo Aguilar saved U21 Guatemala from getting behind. Robert Bendjedids short, quick shot in the 23rdth minute got Guillermo Aguilar to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Abderaouf Bencherif didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Adolfo Del Carmen went, in the 24th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 27th minute Adolfo Del Carmen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abderaouf Bencherif saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mohammad Lamine could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Guillermo Aguilar made a huge save. Abderaouf Bencherif showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Francisco Renderos, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Guillermo Aguilar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Djamel Daham in the 32nd minute of play. 38 minutes into the game, U21 MZ Country's Souad Haddadj nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Guillermo Aguilar made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adolfo Del Carmen in the 47th minute of play forced U21 MZ Country's goalkeeper Abderaouf Bencherif to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Djamel Daham to make the kick off. Robert Bendjedid received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Guillermo Aguilar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The U21 MZ Country fans' excitement grew in the 55th match minute when U21 MZ Country's Djamel Daham looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 57 played minutes U21 Guatemala got a freekick which was hit by Emerson Victorino. U21 Guatemala's Guillermo Aguilar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Djamel Daham in the 60th minute of play. When U21 MZ Country's Djamel Daham in the 61st minute got a chance for a shot 61st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye U21 Guatemala's goalie prevented a goal. Francisco Renderos's late challenge caught a U21 MZ Country's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Francisco Renderos helped the player get up and apologised. In the 66th minute, Francisco Renderos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. U21 Guatemala made a substitution. Julio Arango replaced Adolfo Del Carmen. After a rather tough play, U21 Guatemala's Francisco Renderos got a free kick in the 67th minute. Guillermo Aguilar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robert Bendjedid, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Guillermo Aguilar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robert Bendjedid in the 70th minute of play. 73 minutes into the match, U21 MZ Country's goal looked a bit too open when Julio Arango came free, but Abderaouf Bencherif reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 77 minutes, Djamel Daham put it in 3-1 from a short distance just to the right of Guillermo Aguilar. Francisco Renderos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Abderaouf Bencherif tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Souad Haddadj fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guillermo Aguilar having to interfere. 92 minutes into the match, U21 MZ Country's goal looked a bit too open when Julio Arango came free, but Abderaouf Bencherif reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. U21 MZ Country were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of U21 Guatemala for a fine match.
