With his leg Rene Redak managed to avoid a goal in the 60thth minute, when Romania's Controller Atom fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 61 minutes into the match, Croatia's goalkeeper Rene Redak had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mihail Pipirig. Rene Redak showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mihail Pipirig in the 62nd minute of the match. Rene Redak made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Mihail Pipirig sent off a good shot on target. Șerban Păunescu came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by Croatia's Kazimir Sturko. But to his dismay, Kazimir Sturko quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Romania made a substitution. Cristinel Nițu replaced Mădălin Chilian. Rene Redak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mihăiţă Rada in the 72nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mihail Pipirig in the 74th minute of play forced Croatia's goalkeeper Rene Redak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
