An unexpectedly hard shot by Reinar Stegger in the 38th minute of play forced Greece's goalkeeper Thodoris Tolias to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 46th match minute, Denmark was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hansmorten Kelund to maneuver through the defense.

Vladimiros Kaiafas made in the 80th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Giorgos Kladas immediately put the ball in play. Reinar Stegger might have been able to make a better finish in the 83rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Thodoris Tolias. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Reinar Stegger ran back to his position shaking his head. The throw-in from Denis Kohlwes in the 84th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Greece's Vladimiros Kaiafas. Thodoris Tolias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nigel Harreby in the 89th minute of play. Thodoris Tolias made an important save on a dangerous shot by Reinar Stegger in the 91st minute. Denmark's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
