The audience was convinced that Belton Algoud's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Playo Bermejo was relentless in the 3rd minute of the game. Playo Bermejo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Belton Algoud in the 4th minute of the match. In the 7th minute, Belton Algoud ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Playo Bermejo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Spain's David Mou managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by John Harkness in the 9 minute of the game. In the 10thth minute of the game Xove Herrera who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Australia's Arjen Lucassen was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Xove Herrera kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Arjen Lucassen. That made the score 1-1 in the 21 minute of play. Arjen Lucassen made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Xove Herrera sent off a good shot on target. Arjen Lucassen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Xove Herrera, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Belton Algoud received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Playo Bermejo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Australia's Arjen Lucassen got control of the ball when Xove Herrera tried to sneak it across the goal line. Arjen Lucassen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jair Domínguez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Australia's Arjen Lucassen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jair Domínguez in the 36th minute of play. Playo Bermejo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Belton Algoud, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. 44 minutes into the game, Spain's Xove Herrera nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Arjen Lucassen made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jair Domínguez was the one to do the kick off. Tyler Boyd had several of the Spain's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 55 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-2 score and a disappointed Playo Bermejo as he didn't even see the shot coming. After a rather tough play, Australia's John Harkness got a free kick in the 57th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Australia's Belton Algoud slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Playo Bermejo. That made the score 2-3 after 63 minutes of play. Australia made a substitution. Remy Bundy replaced Tyler Boyd. After a defensive mix-up in Spain's zone, Belton Algoud stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Playo Bermejo came out of the goal and Belton Algoud tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Remy Bundy came free with the goalkeeper in the 73rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Playo Bermejo could save by the left post. Arjen Lucassen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jair Domínguez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 76 minutes of play, Australia's Remy Bundy made it 2-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Playo Bermejo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Australia made a substitution. Shane McGowan replaced Dakota Pack. In the 81st minute, Xove Herrera got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 82 minutes into the match, Spain's goalkeeper Playo Bermejo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Remy Bundy. In the 87thth minute of the game Belton Algoud who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Spain's Playo Bermejo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Evan Mcmillan kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Australia's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
