National Stadium
Spectators: 1035 (Terracing: 777, Seating: 238, VIP seats: 20)
Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Devin Charrette started the match with the kick off. 2 minutes into the game, one of U21 Canada:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The goalkeeper, Ricky Allen, was totally fooled by U21 Argentina's Santiago Ubelteso, who 3 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. 7 minutes into the match, U21 Canada's goal looked a bit too open when Tatu Endira came free, but Ricky Allen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Humberto Velasquez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tadeo Leguizamón showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Devin Charrette in the 15th minute of the match. Tadeo Leguizamón made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Devin Charrette in the 16th minute of play. Tadeo Leguizamón showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Devin Charrette in the 18th minute of the match. 21 minutes into the game, Fatsali Hakan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. U21 Canada's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave U21 Argentina the free kick. The throw-in from Fatsali Hakan in the 27th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by U21 Argentina's Gonzalo Montiel. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 28th minute of the game. One of U21 Argentina:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of U21 Canada:s goal. Tadeo Leguizamón went to the wrong direction when Troy Holmes was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tatu Endira got free with Ricky Allen in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The audience was convinced that Devin Charrette's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tadeo Leguizamón was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. Ricky Allen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dominic Toretto in the 37th minute of the match. In the 39th minute Devin Charrette shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tadeo Leguizamón saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Humberto Velasquez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Tadeo Leguizamón tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fatsali Hakan hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. U21 Canada made a substitution. Kris Stacy replaced Walton Thomson. In the 43rd minute, Fatsali Hakan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as U21 Argentina's Tatu Endira slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ricky Allen. That made the score 2-0 after 45 minutes of play.

U21 Canada made a substitution. Brent Ring replaced Humberto Velasquez. Brent Ring could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Tadeo Leguizamón made a huge save. 56 minutes into the game, Tatu Endira cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Ricky Allen was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ricky Allen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dominic Toretto in the 60th minute of the match. In the 63rd minute Damian Araoz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricky Allen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 64 minutes into the match, Damian Araoz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ricky Allen. U21 Canada's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Damian Araoz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. U21 Argentina's Silvestre Blanco was substituted for Ivan Barto. U21 Canada's Ricky Allen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ceferino Urbez in the 69th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Ceferino Urbez managed to get in a good position for a shot. U21 Argentina's supporters rose to their feet, but Ceferino Urbez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tadeo Leguizamón didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for U21 Canada. Ceferino Urbez took the ball and in the 84 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ricky Allen.
