Seating: 2369, VIP seats: 206) Brazil's Vladimir Moreno started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute, Marcinho Leme ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Druce Garner was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Druce Garner showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcinho Leme, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. After 9 minutes Wales's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Oséas Favoretto who took care of the corner kick. Marcinho Leme was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Pembroke Kerrin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Edgar Fonseca read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. A collision led to Wales getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Kenyon Law hit a great ball. Wales's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. The Wales fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Brazil were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
