The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Alvaro Lore took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mieszko Kaczanka, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ramsay Bolton charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ramsay Bolton the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ramsay Bolton hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. After 15 played minutes U21 Poland got a freekick which was hit by Zdenek Smetana. In the 21st minute Wiktor Kasiewski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alvaro Lore saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 23rd match minute, U21 Argentina was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ciro Caton to maneuver through the defense. In the 24thth minute of the game Mieszko Kaczanka who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but U21 Argentina's Alvaro Lore was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 28 played minutes U21 Poland got a freekick which was hit by Wiktor Kasiewski. The audience thought a goal was coming when Apolo Ordono got free with Andrzej Zahemski in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 31 minutes into the match, U21 Argentina's goal looked a bit too open when Wiktor Kasiewski came free, but Alvaro Lore reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alvaro Lore showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wiktor Kasiewski, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. In the 41st minute, Apolo Ordono got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mieszko Kaczanka in the 44th minute of play forced U21 Argentina's goalkeeper Alvaro Lore to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Andrzej Zahemski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luís Fabiano Artime in the 82nd minute of the match. A collision led to U21 Poland getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Mateusz Bator hit a great ball. Andrzej Zahemski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claudio Jurgi, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Alvaro Lore took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dominik Brytan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 98 minutes into the match, U21 Argentina's goalkeeper Alvaro Lore had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mateusz Bator. A nice corner shot did that Karol Osikowicz got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Alvaro Lore quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. For all the effort they put into the match, the U21 Poland players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for U21 Argentina.
