Pavel Sulaberidze showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Igor Babenko in the 6th minute of the match. 6 minutes into the game, U21 Ukraine's Igor Babenko nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pavel Sulaberidze made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 9th minute, Beka Kamadadze hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Igor Babenko in the 10th minute of play forced U21 Georgia's goalkeeper Pavel Sulaberidze to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of U21 Georgia booed when U21 Ukraine was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Symon Taran didn't get a good kick on the ball. With an all-out effort, U21 Georgia's Boris Soldatov threw himself towards the right post 32 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Beka Kamadadze, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. U21 Ukraine's Boris Soldatov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Beka Kamadadze in the 46th minute of play. The U21 Georgia players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. U21 Ukraine were winning 0-1.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Symon Taran made a kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Beka Kamadadze in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Boris Soldatov saved U21 Ukraine from getting behind. After a rather tough play, U21 Ukraine's Yuriy Nikitenko got a free kick in the 61st minute. The audience was convinced that Beka Kamadadze's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Boris Soldatov was relentless in the 63rd minute of the game. Okhoropir Dzotsenidze's late challenge caught a U21 Ukraine's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Okhoropir Dzotsenidze helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to U21 Georgia getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Okhoropir Dzotsenidze hit a great ball. 76 minutes into the match, U21 Ukraine's Igor Babenko sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pavel Sulaberidze narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 79th minute, Okhoropir Dzotsenidze hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. U21 Ukraine's Boris Soldatov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Beka Kamadadze in the 92nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, U21 Ukraine's Arsen Baglay got a free kick in the 93rd minute. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. U21 Ukraine had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
