Seating: 1184, VIP seats: 103) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Patrik Mäkiaho took the kick off in the first half of the match. Theodor Görtz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Petteri Selänne charged in rather forcefully in the 5th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Petteri Selänne the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, U21 Finland's Petteri Selänne got a free kick in the 5th minute. In the last second Rikhard Nutikka throw himself and got hold of the ball when Bartolo Nadolski in the 6thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Bartolo Nadolski had several of the U21 Finland's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 6 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Rikhard Nutikka as he didn't even see the shot coming. Bartolo Nadolski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bartolo Nadolski took the ball and in the 13 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rikhard Nutikka. Rikhard Nutikka dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Waldo Klein showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aatu Wesslin in the 18th minute of the match. Theodor Görtz hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. U21 Germany's Waldo Klein played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patrik Mäkiaho in the 25th minute of play. Waldo Klein showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aatu Wesslin in the 35th minute of the match. In the 39th minute, one of U21 Finland:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for U21 Finland. U21 Finland:s Rikhard Nutikka showed great skill when he stopped Rigo Kneuer:s penalty. After some careless play in the U21 Finland defense, Rigo Kneuer kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rikhard Nutikka. The U21 Finland fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rikhard Nutikka should have stopped the shot. Theodor Görtz's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 46thth minute, Rikhard Nutikka skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.
Bartolo Nadolski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Rikhard Nutikka tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of U21 Germany booed when U21 Finland was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Veikko Jansson didn't get a good kick on the ball. U21 Finland made a substitution. Bat Male replaced Patrik Mäkiaho. U21 Germany made a substitution. Fabrizio Guse replaced Rigo Kneuer. A collision led to U21 Finland getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Veikko Jansson hit a great ball. In the 63rdth minute of the game Bartolo Nadolski who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but U21 Finland's Rikhard Nutikka was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 68th minute Bartolo Nadolski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rikhard Nutikka saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 69 minutes into the game, Bartolo Nadolski cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Rikhard Nutikka was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 75 minutes into the game, Bongbong Kush was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. U21 Finland's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave U21 Germany the free kick. After 76 played minutes U21 Finland got a freekick which was hit by Bongbong Kush. A collision led to U21 Germany getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Bartolo Nadolski hit a great ball. Theodor Görtz struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Rikhard Nutikka didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for U21 Germany. After a rather tough play, U21 Finland's Benjamin Pakarinen got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Rikhard Nutikka took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bartolo Nadolski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 85thth minute of the game Bartolo Nadolski who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but U21 Finland's Rikhard Nutikka was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. U21 Germany were awarded a corner in the 86th minute after U21 Finland's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Lambert Hillekes took the corner. In the 87th match minute, U21 Germany was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabrizio Guse to maneuver through the defense. After 93 played minutes U21 Finland got a freekick which was hit by Jaakkima Charlier. Benjamin Pakarinen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Benjamin Pakarinen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Many of U21 Finland's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. U21 Finland may have spent more time on the ball, but U21 Germany were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
