Seating: 2370, VIP seats: 206) U21 Austria's Bernabel Lugebiel started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 6th minute, Belmiro Loyola got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arturo Rodrigo in the 9th minute of play forced U21 Austria's goalkeeper Lasse Scherz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Oliver Schriebl fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored U21 Austria's protests and gave Oliver Schriebl a yellow card for diving instead. Oliver Schriebl kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. U21 Chile's Sarracino Teran played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernabel Lugebiel in the 15th minute of play. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind U21 Austria's goalkeeper Lasse Scherz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 18th minute U21 Chile were awarded a corner. Rosalio Noti went to the cornerflag to take it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Belmiro Loyola in the 22nd minute of play forced U21 Austria's goalkeeper Lasse Scherz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Belmiro Loyola managed to get in a good position for a shot. U21 Chile's supporters rose to their feet, but Belmiro Loyola was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lasse Scherz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. U21 Chile were awarded a corner in the 32th minute after U21 Austria's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Rosalio Noti took the corner. After taking down the ball on U21 Chile's corner Rosalio Noti fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Lasse Scherz quite easily take care of the ball. 40 minutes into the game, Dominik Borke was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. U21 Austria's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave U21 Chile the free kick. Lasse Scherz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rosalio Noti, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 42nd minute, Belmiro Loyola hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 44th minute, Julio Galaz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. U21 Austria were furious when Dominik Borke was red carded, 47 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in U21 Austria fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 46th minute. Penalty! U21 Austria:s Lasse Scherz showed great skill when he stopped Rosalio Noti:s penalty. The excitement rose when U21 Chile's Rosalio Noti after 50 played minutes turned away three defenders near the goal, and after that shot a ball that was too difficult for U21 Austria's goalkeeper to hold. Score! 2-0.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Belmiro Loyola to make the kick off. Lasse Scherz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arturo Rodrigo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Arturo Rodrigo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Lasse Scherz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 61 minutes into the game, Belmiro Loyola cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Lasse Scherz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Rosalio Noti managed to get in a good position for a shot. U21 Chile's supporters rose to their feet, but Rosalio Noti was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lasse Scherz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 69th minute, Jan-Oliver Bremer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lasse Scherz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Belmiro Loyola in the 70th minute of the match. 72 minutes had been played when some careless play by U21 Austria's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Rosalio Noti was slow to take the kick. During this time U21 Chile's players had a chance to rest. The corner went over the outstretched arms of U21 Austria's goalie and right to José Ignacio Baier. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. U21 Austria's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. 77 minutes into the game, Jan-Oliver Bremer threw the ball into play from the sideline. U21 Chile's Alesandro De Smet d`Olbecke quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 81st minute, Belmiro Loyola ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lasse Scherz was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. Lasse Scherz came out of the goal in the 85th minute to try and stop a shot by U21 Chile's Belmiro Loyola. But to his dismay, Belmiro Loyola quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. U21 Austria's Lasse Scherz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Belmiro Loyola in the 91st minute of play. Lasse Scherz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Belmiro Loyola in the 95th minute of play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. U21 Chile had played much better football throughout.
