Seating: 2369, VIP seats: 206) Cyprian Zdanowicz started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. A collision led to U21 Romania getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Iulian Drăgan hit a great ball. 4 minutes into the match, U21 Romania's Ion Oblemenco sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Teobald Swoboda narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Teobald Swoboda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ion Oblemenco in the 6th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Ion Oblemenco managed to get in a good position for a shot. U21 Romania's supporters rose to their feet, but Ion Oblemenco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Teobald Swoboda breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 18 played minutes U21 Poland got a freekick which was hit by Wieslaw Bucyki. U21 Poland's attentive Waldemar Skirzynski managed to snatch the ball when Grigore Răduțu made a throw-in in the 22nd minute of the game. Emil Aldulea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wieslaw Bucyki, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Costin Lazãr in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Teobald Swoboda prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Teobald Swoboda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ion Oblemenco in the 32nd minute of the match. Teobald Swoboda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Costin Lazãr, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Emil Aldulea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wieslaw Bucyki in the 35th minute of play. In the 35th minute Wieslaw Bucyki shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emil Aldulea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Grzegorz Wiatrak lost his temper 37 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 36th minute, one of U21 Poland:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for U21 Poland. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastian Andreescu in the 44th minute of play forced U21 Poland's goalkeeper Teobald Swoboda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ion Oblemenco in the 45th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Teobald Swoboda prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ion Oblemenco stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ludomil Fleischer hit a great freekick 50 minutes into the match. Ion Oblemenco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teobald Swoboda having to interfere. Emil Aldulea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Domaradzki, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as U21 Romania's Cristinel Vârlan slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Teobald Swoboda. That made the score 0-1 after 60 minutes of play. U21 Romania made a substitution. Ernest Nedelcu replaced Costin Lazãr. U21 Romania made a substitution. Ilie Bădoi replaced Grigore Răduțu. U21 Romania's Horea Zgaroi was substituted for Sergiu Jușcă. In the 69th minute, Ion Oblemenco ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Teobald Swoboda was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. After a rather tough play, U21 Poland's Radomil Parajewski got a free kick in the 83rd minute. In the 85th minute, Ion Oblemenco made a precise shot to the right of Teobald Swoboda. U21 Poland's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. Ernest Nedelcu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teobald Swoboda having to interfere. 94 minutes into the match, U21 Poland's goal looked a bit too open when Ion Oblemenco came free, but Teobald Swoboda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match was over U21 Romania could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than U21 Poland throughout the match.
