The crowd rose to their feet as U21 Moldova's Iulian Vizitiu slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Napier Ibio. That made the score 1-0 after 4 minutes of play. In the 7th minute, Cristian Nazaria hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Iulian Vizitiu kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. 14 minutes into the match, U21 Paraguay's goal looked a bit too open when Eugen Isac came free, but Napier Ibio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 16 minutes into the match, U21 Moldova's goal looked a bit too open when Bilintx Picado came free, but Marius Cociu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Napier Ibio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristian Nazaria went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. The supporters of U21 Moldova booed when U21 Paraguay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Orkatz Mijancas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cristian Nazaria fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Napier Ibio having to interfere. Eugen Isac who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 25thth minute tested the skills of Napier Ibio when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Napier Ibio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eugen Isac, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Napier Ibio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eugen Isac's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. Eugen Isac took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Napier Ibio. Napier Ibio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. In the 36th minute Eugen Isac shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Napier Ibio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 37 minutes into the match, U21 Paraguay's goal looked a bit too open when Eugen Isac came free, but Napier Ibio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Napier Ibio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eugen Isac's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. After 46 played minutes U21 Paraguay got a freekick which was hit by Orkatz Mijancas. U21 Moldova's Tudor Ciocan got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vito Zabalo was the one to do the kick off. Gaspar Pedrueza hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eugen Isac in the 55th minute of play forced U21 Paraguay's goalkeeper Napier Ibio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. U21 Paraguay made a substitution. Mincho Balcells replaced Bilintx Picado. Napier Ibio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eugen Isac, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 77 minutes of play, U21 Moldova's Eugen Isac made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Napier Ibio was left in no man's land by his defense there! Eugen Isac hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. When Eugen Isac came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the U21 Moldova fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eugen Isac couldn't finish the play. Cãlin Vataman charged in rather forcefully in the 83rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cãlin Vataman the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Cãlin Vataman hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eugen Isac in the 87th minute of play forced U21 Paraguay's goalkeeper Napier Ibio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. U21 Paraguay's Napier Ibio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eugen Isac in the 88th minute of play. In the 90th minute Aurre Regulez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marius Cociu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 92 minutes into the match, U21 Moldova's goal looked a bit too open when Aurre Regulez came free, but Marius Cociu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. U21 Paraguay's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
