Wojciech Knopek could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Blanaid McBjarton made a huge save. Blanaid McBjarton didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Wojciech Knopek went, in the 9th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. After 17 minutes Ireland's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Tymoteusz Dubilas who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Tymoteusz Dubilas got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Blanaid McBjarton quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Blanaid McBjarton was a little too slow when Wojciech Knopek got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 20th minute. The score was now 2-0. 27 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ireland's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Tymoteusz Dubilas was slow to take the kick. During this time Poland's players had a chance to rest. Blanaid McBjarton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonard Kasperowicz in the 28th minute of play. 30 minutes into the match, Ireland's goalkeeper Blanaid McBjarton had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wojciech Knopek. In the 36th minute of the match, Wojciech Knopek got a very nice opportunity to score, but Blanaid McBjarton was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 40 minutes into the game, Wojciech Knopek recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Blanaid McBjarton. Wojciech Knopek showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. Breffni McStephen made in the 46th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Hayes Byrne however managed to control. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The wind increased when Arthur Byrne made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Wojciech Knopek had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Blanaid McBjarton. Ireland's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Wojciech Knopek was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. 59 minutes into the match, Poland's Wojciech Knopek sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Blanaid McBjarton narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 64th minute Wojciech Knopek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Blanaid McBjarton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Blanaid McBjarton showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wojciech Knopek, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Wojciech Knopek fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Blanaid McBjarton having to interfere. Poland made a substitution. Miroslav Radovič replaced Daniel Kaczeniak. Ireland made a substitution. Bec McJohnny replaced Hayes Byrne. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wojciech Knopek in the 71st minute of play forced Ireland's goalkeeper Blanaid McBjarton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Blanaid McBjarton came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by Poland's Wojciech Knopek. But to his dismay, Wojciech Knopek quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. Poland's Miromir Prosowski was substituted for Leon Dudek. When Wojciech Knopek came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Poland fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wojciech Knopek couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Ireland getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Breffni McStephen hit a great ball. In the 83rd match minute, Ireland was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Corey Ryan to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Poland's Radoslaw Pietras got control of the ball when Corey Ryan tried to sneak it across the goal line. Wojciech Knopek received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Blanaid McBjarton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Blanaid McBjarton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wojciech Knopek in the 92nd minute of the match. Blanaid McBjarton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wojciech Knopek in the 94th minute of play.
