The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 21 minutes into the game, Laur Kaldalu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. U21 Estonia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave U21 Austria the free kick. A collision led to U21 Estonia getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Laur Kaldalu hit a great ball. After 22 played minutes U21 Estonia got a freekick which was hit by Laur Kaldalu. In the 22nd minute the ball was on its way in behind U21 Estonia's goalkeeper Jaanus Oinak, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When U21 Estonia's Rauno Paadam in the 25th minute got a chance for a shot 25th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A nice corner shot did that Lukas Riedel got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jaanus Oinak quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.
