Valério Pimenta made a great header on U21 Brazil's corner, it was just that U21 Peru's Lev Yashim managed to reach the ball for a save. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Bernardo Meireles had several of the U21 Peru's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 90 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-2 score and a disappointed Lev Yashim as he didn't even see the shot coming. With a little luck, U21 Peru's Lev Yashim got control of the ball when Bernardo Meireles tried to sneak it across the goal line.
