Seating: 2369, VIP seats: 206) The audience thought a goal was coming when Milton Makweni got free with Gendo Hans in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 14th minute, Martin Sinuhaji got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ari Priyatno struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Lindo Sewele didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for U21 Malaysia. Lindo Sewele stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ari Priyatno's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mpenza Kubheka during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 27th minute of the game. One of U21 South Africa:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of U21 Malaysia:s goal. In the 29th minute there was a penalty for U21 Malaysia. Zulfikar Priyatno stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Lindo Sewele. 0-2. When Ari Priyatno came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the U21 Malaysia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ari Priyatno couldn't finish the play. Lindo Sewele stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ari Priyatno's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. 40 minutes into the game, U21 Malaysia's Ari Priyatno nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lindo Sewele made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. A collision led to U21 South Africa getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Bradley Etafia hit a great ball.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Allan King was the one to do the kick off. Justice Mandela hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. In the 59th minute, Robbie Sembiring hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With his leg Lindo Sewele managed to avoid a goal in the 65thth minute, when U21 Malaysia's Ari Priyatno fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 66th minute Martin Sinuhaji shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lindo Sewele saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 72 minutes into the match, U21 South Africa's goal looked a bit too open when Martin Sinuhaji came free, but Lindo Sewele reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ari Priyatno's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 77thth minute, Lindo Sewele skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The audience was convinced that Allan King's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gendo Hans was relentless in the 79th minute of the game. Lindo Sewele was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Haikal Dewa showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-5 in the 81 minute of play. Allan King received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Gendo Hans tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of U21 South Africa booed when U21 Malaysia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Uum Ramadhonna didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Haikal Dewa came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the U21 Malaysia fans jumped to their feet. Ebrahim Kubheka's late challenge caught a U21 Malaysia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ebrahim Kubheka helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of U21 Malaysia booed when U21 South Africa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ebrahim Kubheka didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 96 minutes, Ari Priyatno made it 0-7 with a short kick to the right side. U21 South Africa's Lindo Sewele tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The U21 South Africa supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching U21 Malaysia's performance. The match ended with a win for U21 Malaysia.
