Seating: 2369, VIP seats: 206) In the 5thth minute of the game Patrice Larue who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Slovenia's Slavoljub Pivk was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Slovenia's Slavoljub Pivk proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save Slovenia from getting a goal against them. 8 minutes into the game, Jan Rizvić threw the ball into play from the sideline. France's Jean Uhl quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patrice Larue in the 11th minute of play forced Slovenia's goalkeeper Slavoljub Pivk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. France's François-Xavier Bonnin managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Jan Rizvić in the 12 minute of the game. Patrice Larue fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Slavoljub Pivk having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jan Dremelj in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bobbi Marley saved France from getting behind. Jan Rizvić made in the 21st minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Jovan Mencin. In the 22nd minute the ball was on its way in behind France's goalkeeper Bobbi Marley, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 24 minutes into the match, France's goal looked a bit too open when Jan Dremelj came free, but Bobbi Marley reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 29th minute Predrag Hartman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bobbi Marley saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 30 minutes into the match, France's goal looked a bit too open when Animo Mrvar came free, but Bobbi Marley reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Patrice Larue to strike the kick off in the second half. Slavoljub Pivk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodrigo Peytavin in the 51st minute of play. 53 minutes into the match, Slovenia's goal looked a bit too open when Rodrigo Peytavin came free, but Slavoljub Pivk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With an all-out effort, Slovenia's Bobbi Marley threw himself towards the right post 54 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Jan Dremelj, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Slovenia's Slavoljub Pivk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patrice Larue in the 59th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Patrice Larue in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Slavoljub Pivk saved Slovenia from getting behind. France's defense didn't have a chance, in the 64th minute, when Jan Dremelj scored to the left of an out of position Bobbi Marley, making the score, 0-1. Patrice Larue fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Slavoljub Pivk having to interfere. In the 69th minute, Predrag Hartman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Slovenia made a substitution. Set Fašun replaced Jovan Mencin. After 70 played minutes Slovenia got a freekick which was hit by Predrag Hartman. Slavoljub Pivk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patrice Larue, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Predrag Hartman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Bobbi Marley tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Slavoljub Pivk showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patrice Larue in the 82nd minute of the match. Patrice Larue fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Slavoljub Pivk having to interfere. A nice corner shot did that Jan Dremelj got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Bobbi Marley quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. When Jan Dremelj came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Slovenia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jan Dremelj couldn't finish the play. When the match was over Slovenia could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than France throughout the match.
