Dan Eremciuc made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernd Tront in the 10th minute of play. A hard shot 17 in the game by Filip Toma from a close distance when the talented Bastian Pretzer managed to make a qualified save. Austria's players were relieved. Dan Eremciuc showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pascal Hemmerich, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pascal Hemmerich in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dan Eremciuc saved Moldova from getting behind. The supporters of Moldova booed when Austria was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pascal Hemmerich didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bastian Pretzer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Filip Toma, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Moldova's Dan Eremciuc played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dominik Jensen in the 31st minute of play. 33 minutes into the match, Filip Toma dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Bastian Pretzer, 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yasar Linz in the 59th minute of play forced Moldova's goalkeeper Dan Eremciuc to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 61 minutes into the match, Moldova's Igor Ciocan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bastian Pretzer narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 62nd minute Moldova were awarded a corner. Radu Plop went to the cornerflag to take it. With a little luck, Moldova's Dan Eremciuc got control of the ball when Yasar Linz tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 74th play minute Yasar Linz came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Dan Eremciuc. 2-1. In the 78th match minute, Austria was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Timo Schwaneberg to maneuver through the defense. The throw-in from Sandu Plesca in the 80th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Austria's Frank-Dieter Kiesenebner. Yasar Linz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Yasar Linz got free with Dan Eremciuc in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Bastian Pretzer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ghenadie Platon, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. With a little luck, Moldova's Dan Eremciuc got control of the ball when Yasar Linz tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Austria getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Hubert Frankfurter hit a great ball. In the 91st minute of the match Radu Plop sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bastian Pretzer skillfully saved the ball. The corner ended in Radu Plop almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Austria's Bastian Pretzer did a great save. When Moldova's Ghenadie Platon in the 95th minute got a chance for a shot 95th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Austria's goalie prevented a goal. When the match had gone on for 95 minutes, Ghenadie Platon put it in 3-1 from a short distance just to the right of Bastian Pretzer. Moldova were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Austria for a fine match.
