In the 9th minute of the game León Philippi made a throw-in which Jorge Garmendia played forward. With a little luck, U. de Tarapacá's Ariel Balboa got control of the ball when Neron Veterini tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 12th minute, Orfilio Orbañanos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jake Leonard was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 22nd minute Yuan Zhen Lin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jake Leonard saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 25 minutes into the match, U. de Tarapacá's goalkeeper Ariel Balboa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Neron Veterini. In the 31st minute, Neron Veterini reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ariel Balboa. The goal made the score 1-1. Jake Leonard showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Orfilio Orbañanos, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. In the 37th minute WINNING ELEVEN were awarded a corner. Leonel Cordaro went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Vilhelm Gustafsson got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ariel Balboa quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After 40 played minutes WINNING ELEVEN got a freekick which was hit by Julio Gomez. Jake Leonard took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Orfilio Orbañanos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. U. de Tarapacá's Ariel Balboa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save U. de Tarapacá from getting a goal against them. The supporters of WINNING ELEVEN booed when U. de Tarapacá was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. León Philippi didn't get a good kick on the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Orfilio Orbañanos was the one to do the kick off. With a little luck, WINNING ELEVEN's Jake Leonard got control of the ball when Yuan Zhen Lin tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Ladislao Ermengol fell near the penalty area in the 60th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored WINNING ELEVEN's protests and gave Ladislao Ermengol a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to WINNING ELEVEN getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. U. de Tarapacá's Orfilio Orbañanos got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 67th minute Nemesio Tximitx shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ariel Balboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Neron Veterini in the 71st minute of play forced U. de Tarapacá's goalkeeper Ariel Balboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 73rd minute, Neron Veterini left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. U. de Tarapacá's Ariel Balboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Neron Veterini in the 90th minute of play. WINNING ELEVEN's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
