In the 7th minute Torgny Landin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but John Osomo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Örjan Björkdahl might have been able to make a better finish in the 9th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jens-Åke Källberg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Örjan Björkdahl ran back to his position shaking his head. 9 minutes into the match, Boca Juniors's goal looked a bit too open when Örjan Björkdahl came free, but Jens-Åke Källberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. John Osomo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gerd Della, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. John Osomo came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by Boca Juniors's Torgny Landin. But to his dismay, Torgny Landin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ's zone, Torgny Landin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. John Osomo came out of the goal and Torgny Landin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 20th minute Örjan Björkdahl shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jens-Åke Källberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 21st minute of the match PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ got a corner. Boca Juniors's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Egemen Aldemir ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ's corner Egemen Aldemir fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jens-Åke Källberg quite easily take care of the ball. After a rather tough play, Boca Juniors's Jiang Xuan Nan got a free kick in the 26th minute. Torgny Landin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. John Osomo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Torgny Landin, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Torgny Landin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without John Osomo having to make a save. John Osomo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Torgny Landin in the 38th minute of play. Torgny Landin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but John Osomo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. A nice corner shot did that Gustav Stenkvist got away a dangerous shot. Despite this John Osomo quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Li Qian Jing kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. The PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Boca Juniors were winning 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Torgny Landin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 62 minutes into the match, PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Gerd Della came free, but John Osomo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 63 played minutes PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ got a freekick which was hit by Denílson Abreu. In the 65thth minute of the game Torgny Landin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ's John Osomo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Li Qian Jing made a great header on Boca Juniors's corner, it was just that PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ's John Osomo managed to reach the ball for a save. PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ made a substitution. Bennvar Caddick replaced Ademar Rodrigues. Boca Juniors made a substitution. Elliot Nordgren replaced Torgny Landin. 77 minutes into the match, PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ's goalkeeper John Osomo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Elliot Nordgren. Boca Juniors played a much better game than PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ and deserved their victory. The PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
