Teodosio Sergi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Ni Jun Sha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Olliver Van Meirhaeghe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Augusto Cordario fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ni Jun Sha having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Augusto Cordario got free with Ni Jun Sha in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Di Yi Yuan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Teodosio Sergi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. Håkan Lindgren scored 0-2 in the 17th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Teodosio Sergi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Teodosio Sergi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
