Ignatius Casasola made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hernán Leandro in the 12th minute of play. A collision led to Garanhão do SUL getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Cassiano Telinhos hit a great ball. 14 minutes into the match, Hernán Leandro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ignatius Casasola. Garanhão do SUL's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hernán Leandro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 17th minute Hernán Leandro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ignatius Casasola saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. ACF Fiorentina's Maximino Cabezon got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Maximino Cabezons short, quick shot in the 93rdth minute got Ignatius Casasola to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The supporters of Garanhão do SUL booed when ACF Fiorentina was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ulrik Sillén didn't get a good kick on the ball.

ACF Fiorentina's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
