After some careless play in the La Gallardeta defense, Jeremias Lugo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nektarios Varveris. The La Gallardeta fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nektarios Varveris should have stopped the shot. Nektarios Varveris made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Abdulbaki Tuğtekin sent off a good shot on target. Kjell Alsvik sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Shi Feng Zhen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kjell Alsvik in the 35th minute of play. Kjell Alsvik might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Shi Feng Zhen. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kjell Alsvik ran back to his position shaking his head. 38 minutes into the match, La Gallardeta's Kjell Alsvik sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Shi Feng Zhen narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Kjell Alsvik had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Flavio Gonchan got free with Shi Feng Zhen in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Kjell Alsvik sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. But to his dismay, Vince Santo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. La Gallardeta's Filip Měchura was substituted for Kjell Alsvik. SEFEROĞULLARI's Arda Turan was substituted for Albert Piersic. 80 minutes into the game, Jeremias Lugo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SEFEROĞULLARI's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave La Gallardeta the free kick.
