After some careless play in the Progreso Tres defense, Levi Lanen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Inocencio Oinatz. The Progreso Tres fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Inocencio Oinatz should have stopped the shot. Alexandros Ismael showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Esteve Palben in the 14th minute of the match. If Venancio Estavan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eusebio Beltran might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Inocencio Oinatz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eusebio Beltran ran back to his position shaking his head. Inocencio Oinatz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eusebio Beltran in the 28th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fausto Inko got free with Alexandros Ismael in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Alexandros Ismael was a little too slow when Venancio Estavan got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 31st minute. The score was now 1-1. Inocencio Oinatz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eusebio Beltran in the 35th minute of the match. Esteve Palben hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. After 46 played minutes Águilas Poblanas got a freekick which was hit by Aldo Marquez. After having played for 47 minutes, Evtim Chokoev managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Progreso Tres's supporters crossed their fingers, but Evtim Chokoev was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Águilas Poblanas made a substitution. Iker Urti replaced Virgilio Txindoki. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eusebio Beltran to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Progreso Tres booed when Águilas Poblanas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roy Ekman didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Esteve Palben in the 55th minute of play forced Águilas Poblanas's goalkeeper Alexandros Ismael to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gelacio Casillas kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. In the 59th minute, Epifanio Intxixu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Venancio Estavan fell near the penalty area in the 60th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Progreso Tres's protests and gave Venancio Estavan a yellow card for diving instead. Inocencio Oinatz made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Carlo Ciolli sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Progreso Tres booed when Águilas Poblanas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roy Ekman didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Águilas Poblanas's Carlo Ciolli got a free kick in the 65th minute. In the 68th minute Carlo Ciolli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Inocencio Oinatz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Carlo Ciolli in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Inocencio Oinatz saved Progreso Tres from getting behind. Inocencio Oinatz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eusebio Beltran, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 76th match minute, Progreso Tres was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gaudencio Aurken to maneuver through the defense. 77 minutes into the match, Progreso Tres's goalkeeper Inocencio Oinatz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Carlo Ciolli. An unexpectedly hard shot by Venancio Estavan in the 79th minute of play forced Águilas Poblanas's goalkeeper Alexandros Ismael to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 87th minute, Roy Ekman made a precise shot to the right of Inocencio Oinatz. Progreso Tres's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Carlo Ciolli's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Inocencio Oinatz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 96th minute of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Águilas Poblanas walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
