Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Anselmo De Toni in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hilario Pesquera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Carlo Montanari took the ball and in the 8 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hilario Pesquera. Hilario Pesquera dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. In the 15th minute Camerino Luey shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eugenio Lorenzi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eugenio Lorenzi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Emre Bolat went, in the 17th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. 21 minutes into the match, Golden Dragón F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Carlo Montanari came free, but Hilario Pesquera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 25th minute, Carlo Montanari got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Camerino Luey in the 27th minute of play forced Juventus F.C.'s goalkeeper Eugenio Lorenzi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eugenio Lorenzi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Camerino Luey, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Anselmo De Toni took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hilario Pesquera. Hilario Pesquera dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. After a rather tough play, Golden Dragón F.C's Emre Bolat got a free kick in the 41st minute. 42 minutes into the match, Golden Dragón F.C's goalkeeper Hilario Pesquera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Claudio Caniggia. Juventus F.C.'s Eugenio Lorenzi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Camerino Luey in the 43rd minute of play. Emre Bolat fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eugenio Lorenzi having to interfere. In the 47th minute, Claudio Caniggia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Carlo Montanari to make the kick off. When Claudio Caniggia came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Juventus F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Claudio Caniggia couldn't finish the play. Hilario Pesquera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claudio Caniggia in the 53rd minute of play. Emre Bolat received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Eugenio Lorenzi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Golden Dragón F.C's Selim Mićić was substituted for Camerino Luey. Golden Dragón F.C's Dario Betzanos was substituted for Emre Bolat. Eugenio Lorenzi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dario Betzanos in the 63rd minute. After 69 minutes of play, Golden Dragón F.C's Dario Betzanos made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eugenio Lorenzi was left in no man's land by his defense there! Golden Dragón F.C's Alan Petersen was substituted for Modris Pavējš. Juventus F.C. made a substitution. Hilario Pesquera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alessio Punta, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Juventus F.C. made a substitution. Bernardo Benarrivo replaced Carlo Montanari. 77 minutes into the game, Bengt-Rune Waller threw the ball into play from the sideline. Golden Dragón F.C's Emmanuel Vasco quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Golden Dragón F.C's Hilario Pesquera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alessio Punta in the 84th minute of play. If Alan Petersen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alessio Punta in the 92nd minute of play forced Golden Dragón F.C's goalkeeper Hilario Pesquera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Juventus F.C. booed when Golden Dragón F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fernandez Vizcarreto didn't get a good kick on the ball. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
