Batıkan Muhsin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kim Bolas in the 6th minute of the match. Tᴜʀᴋᴇʏ Lɪᴏɴꜱ FC's attentive Oğuzalp Yetiş managed to snatch the ball when Pepe Ferreira made a throw-in in the 22nd minute of the game. In the 22nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Sliema Dragons FC's goalkeeper Barrie Kerridge, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Tᴜʀᴋᴇʏ Lɪᴏɴꜱ FC were awarded a corner in the 24th minute after Sliema Dragons FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Bernardo Sasso took the corner. Tᴜʀᴋᴇʏ Lɪᴏɴꜱ FC's Benedicto Bihar was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Barrie Kerridge in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. If Leszek Cupial had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kim Bolas in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Batıkan Muhsin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Baran Erozan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Batıkan Muhsin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leszek Cupial sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Barrie Kerridge made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benedicto Bihar in the 47th minute of play. Benedicto Bihar took the ball and in the 48 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Barrie Kerridge. Barrie Kerridge dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kim Bolas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Tᴜʀᴋᴇʏ Lɪᴏɴꜱ FC's Batıkan Muhsin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kim Bolas in the 55th minute of play. Batıkan Muhsin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kim Bolas's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. A collision led to Sliema Dragons FC getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Gábor Illés hit a great ball. 59 minutes into the game, Benedicto Bihar lined in a short shot 0-2 behind a frustrated Barrie Kerridge. 63 minutes into the match, Kim Bolas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Batıkan Muhsin. Tᴜʀᴋᴇʏ Lɪᴏɴꜱ FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kim Bolas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Sliema Dragons FC's Dejan Cassar was substituted for Kim Bolas. In the 76th minute Dejan Cassar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Batıkan Muhsin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benedicto Bihar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Barrie Kerridge made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benedicto Bihar in the 78th minute of play. Batıkan Muhsin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dejan Cassar's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. Batıkan Muhsin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ulises Ixidor, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Tᴜʀᴋᴇʏ Lɪᴏɴꜱ FC's Aykut Canel was substituted for Benedicto Bihar. 89 minutes into the game, Oğuzalp Yetiş threw the ball into play from the sideline. Sliema Dragons FC's Pepe Ferreira quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. A sloppy throw-in by Kurtuluş Senih in the 91st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Sliema Dragons FC's Baran Erozan. In the 93rd minute, Dejan Cassar ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Batıkan Muhsin was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. In the 95th minute, Dejan Cassar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tᴜʀᴋᴇʏ Lɪᴏɴꜱ FC succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Sliema Dragons FC had controlled the match.
