Chu Zhen Xun started the match with the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abubakar Kamarád in the 10th minute of play forced Juniors FC's goalkeeper Lázaro Colon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lázaro Colon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abubakar Kamarád, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Matthis Paelemans might have been able to make a better finish in the 20th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lázaro Colon. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Matthis Paelemans ran back to his position shaking his head. Through an outstanding action, after 23 minutes, Lázaro Colon successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Marios Sabanis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomás Salomon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 24 minutes into the match, Tomás Salomon notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of ARIS THESSALONIKI F.C.'s Marios Sabanis. Marios Sabanis was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, ARIS THESSALONIKI F.C.'s Matthis Paelemans got a free kick in the 38th minute. 39 minutes into the match, ARIS THESSALONIKI F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Enrique Frasco came free, but Marios Sabanis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. ARIS THESSALONIKI F.C.'s Marios Sabanis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enrique Frasco in the 42nd minute of play. In the 44th minute, Aris Keskeridis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lázaro Colon didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Matthis Paelemans went, in the 47th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Enrique Frasco to strike the kick off in the second half. Lázaro Colon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matthis Paelemans in the 53rd minute of the match. In the 56th match minute, Juniors FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Augusto Borges to maneuver through the defense. Marios Sabanis stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Enrique Frasco's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. In the 61st match minute, ARIS THESSALONIKI F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sakis Labiris to maneuver through the defense. Marios Sabanis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Enrique Frasco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 71st minute Anestis Tsoukalas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lázaro Colon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chu Zhen Xun in the 73rd minute of play forced Juniors FC's goalkeeper Lázaro Colon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lázaro Colon came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by ARIS THESSALONIKI F.C.'s Anestis Tsoukalas. But to his dismay, Anestis Tsoukalas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Juniors FC's Prospero Furman was substituted for Tomás Salomon. Juniors FC's Pepe Sand was substituted for Enrique Frasco. Aris Keskeridis made in the 85th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Juniors FC's Wlodzimierz Lepper. In the 86th minute Pepe Sand shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marios Sabanis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marios Sabanis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pepe Sand, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Severino Garikoitz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Marios Sabanis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 97 minutes into the match, ARIS THESSALONIKI F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Prospero Furman came free, but Marios Sabanis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The ARIS THESSALONIKI F.C. support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
