Michael Olejmeulen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but André Zonta made a huge save. When the match clock showed 21 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Joachim Krabbe sped through El retorno del Pincha's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of André Zonta. But to his dismay, Armando Inautzi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Robin Erbler showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Armando Inautzi, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
