Gino Tonić showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andrea De Toro in the 8th minute of the match. 13 minutes into the match, New Miran FC's Elce Teleagă sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Holger Mattsson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 13th minute, Elce Teleagă ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Holger Mattsson was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Bolli Bolla could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Gino Tonić made a huge save. Holger Mattsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Charlie Vandamme in the 17th minute of play. In the 23rd minute, Hummerfiskarna's Andrea De Toro dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. Gino Tonić made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bolli Bolla in the 27th minute. In the 29th minute Charlie Vandamme shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Holger Mattsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hummerfiskarna's Holger Mattsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Charlie Vandamme in the 29th minute of play. New Miran FC's Gino Tonić proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save New Miran FC from getting a goal against them. Gino Tonić was left in no man's land by his defense there! Hummerfiskarna's Conrado Olayo was substituted for Hana Banana. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-2 at half-time.

52 minutes into the match, New Miran FC's goal looked a bit too open when Bolli Bolla came free, but Gino Tonić reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Elce Teleagă's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Holger Mattsson was relentless in the 63rd minute of the game. Karl-Michael Bergfelt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hummerfiskarna made a substitution. Rickard Malmström replaced Bjarte Paul. Hummerfiskarna's Bennvar Maradona was substituted for Andrea De Toro. If Arnaldo Queirós had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Gino Tonić took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arnaldo Queirós, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of New Miran FC booed when Hummerfiskarna was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. André Qvalfeldt didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gino Tonić took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arnaldo Queirós, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dito Penha got free with Holger Mattsson in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 90th minute New Miran FC were awarded a corner. Leo Fender went to the cornerflag to take it. New Miran FC's Gino Tonić played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arnaldo Queirós in the 92nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Otto Gol in the 94th minute of play forced Hummerfiskarna's goalkeeper Holger Mattsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as New Miran FC's Johan Neeskens slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Holger Mattsson. That made the score 3-4 after 97 minutes of play.
