After 17th play minutes Matthieu Richardot shot 0-3, a short shot which went by Dorin Arșanu and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 20th match minute, DJK Füchtel Vechta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Chris Kursawe to maneuver through the defense. Dorin Arșanu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from José Pedro Cerezo went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. Thanks to some nice moves Jyrki Saarelainen could shoot a difficult shot in the 25th minute, which Adriano Tolin however easily saved by the left post. Dorin Arșanu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matthieu Richardot, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Rea Selbert managed to get in a good position for a shot. DJK Füchtel Vechta's supporters rose to their feet, but Rea Selbert was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dorin Arșanu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Pedro Cerezo in the 46th minute of play forced Rovine Craiova's goalkeeper Dorin Arșanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

The wind increased when Jyrki Saarelainen made the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marcus Terstappen during the 50th minute. Dorin Arșanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Pedro Cerezo in the 68th minute of play. In the 69th minute Chris Kursawe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dorin Arșanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Adriano Tolin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexandru Tudorică in the 70th minute of play. José Pedro Cerezo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Dorin Arșanu made a huge save. Rovine Craiova's Dorin Arșanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Pedro Cerezo in the 76th minute of play. In the 90th minute, DJK Füchtel Vechta's Matthieu Richardot ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Dorin Arșanu. Dorin Arșanu yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-6. DJK Füchtel Vechta made a substitution. Felix Agu replaced Rea Selbert. The Rovine Craiova fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. DJK Füchtel Vechta were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
