Diedrik Nys showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kurt Kaszubik, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Kurt Kaszubik succeeded in the game's 20th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gwidon Kapelski in the 23rd minute of play forced Warmia Grajewo's goalkeeper Camillo Tullo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 25 played minutes São Petersburgo FC got a freekick which was hit by Damian Mincho. Kurt Kaszubik blasted a shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Diedrik Nys having to make a save. In the 47th minute of the match São Petersburgo FC got a corner. Warmia Grajewo's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Vítor Galvão ran over to the corner to take the kick.

The crowd rose to their feet as Kléber Mandrak kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Camillo Tullo. That made the score 2-2 in the 51 minute of play. In the 55th minute, Franciszek Rasimowicz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
