Aytuğ Çağa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rafa Lojewski having to interfere. A sloppy throw-in by Grigore Mălaimare in the 13th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Fluffy White Bunnies's Guido Rodas. After taking down the ball on Fluffy White Bunnies's corner Coronel Fuster fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Rafa Lojewski quite easily take care of the ball. Olle Casillas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fernando Amorebieta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Go Ahead Eagles's Rafa Lojewski proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Go Ahead Eagles from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dino Grilli in the 30th minute of play forced Go Ahead Eagles's goalkeeper Rafa Lojewski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Erling Lewandowski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olle Casillas having to interfere. 35 minutes into the match, Fluffy White Bunnies's goal looked a bit too open when Erling Lewandowski came free, but Olle Casillas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Izydor Plucinik blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rafa Lojewski having to make a save. Rafa Lojewski made an important save on a dangerous shot by Izydor Plucinik in the 41st minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Erling Lewandowski's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Olle Casillas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 51st minute of play. When Benjamin Gold fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fluffy White Bunnies's protests and gave Benjamin Gold a yellow card for diving instead. In the 52nd minute, Benjamin Gold hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 60 minutes into the match, Go Ahead Eagles's goal looked a bit too open when Aytuğ Çağa came free, but Rafa Lojewski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Erling Lewandowski managed to get in a good position for a shot. Go Ahead Eagles's supporters rose to their feet, but Erling Lewandowski was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Olle Casillas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Go Ahead Eagles made a substitution. Manga Mangkudikusumah replaced Panos Kaklamanos. Fluffy White Bunnies made a substitution. Gabriel Niitsoo replaced Aytuğ Çağa. Fluffy White Bunnies's Hans Söderqvist was substituted for Dino Grilli. Facundo Bot fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olle Casillas having to interfere. Olle Casillas made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Fernando Amorebieta sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Izydor Plucinik in the 82nd minute of play forced Go Ahead Eagles's goalkeeper Rafa Lojewski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 89th minute, Iustin Bâru left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Go Ahead Eagles fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Rafa Lojewski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gabriel Niitsoo in the 92nd minute of the match. The Go Ahead Eagles players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
