Paulin Sequeiros made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Nickolaj Nickerson sent off a good shot on target. Ognyan Pironkov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gordon Suarez in the 13th minute of play. 14 minutes into the match, Gordon Suarez notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of FC Pirates's Ognyan Pironkov. Ognyan Pironkov was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Paulin Sequeiros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bayan Pantev in the 20th minute of play. 22 minutes into the game, Janari Hinn threw the ball into play from the sideline. FC Pirates's Matey Bochkov quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. The audience was convinced that Gordon Suarez's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ognyan Pironkov was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. Vanadio F.C.'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Maxin Oces in the 29th minute. A sloppy throw-in by Servando Ariztimuño in the 41st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by FC Pirates's Matey Bochkov. Paulin Sequeiros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bayan Pantev in the 45th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nickolaj Nickerson was the one to do the kick off. Gordon Suarez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gordon Suarez in the 55th minute of play forced FC Pirates's goalkeeper Ognyan Pironkov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gordon Suarez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Vanadio F.C. made a substitution. Leizarraga Olmedo replaced Evaristo Gurruchaga. Gordon Suarez kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Bayan Pantev sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 68th minute Nickolaj Nickerson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulin Sequeiros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ognyan Pironkov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bekir Çağan in the 74th minute of play. FC Pirates's Ognyan Pironkov proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save FC Pirates from getting a goal against them. Ognyan Pironkov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leizarraga Olmedo in the 78th minute of play. Paulin Sequeiros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nickolaj Nickerson in the 83rd minute of the match. FC Pirates's Peter Flaa was substituted for Nickolaj Nickerson. After 92 minutes, Reinaert Van Der Veecken mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Pirates and the Vanadio F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 92nd minute, Reinaert Van Der Veecken hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leizarraga Olmedo struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Ognyan Pironkov didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vanadio F.C.. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Vanadio F.C. walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
