In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind AUcimont's goalkeeper Laurend Steenbecks, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 25 minutes had been played when some careless play by AUcimont's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Denis Inestrosa was slow to take the kick. During this time Club Olimpia's players had a chance to rest. After 28 minutes of play, AUcimont's Tim-Jan Terhorst made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. When Kieth Volle fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AUcimont's protests and gave Kieth Volle a yellow card for diving instead. Laurend Steenbecks showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Denis Inestrosa, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. 60 minutes into the match, AUcimont's goal looked a bit too open when Denis Inestrosa came free, but Laurend Steenbecks reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
