Gurdurão's Natã Massa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Damiano Ascani in the 9th minute of play. Evaristo Hurtado charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Evaristo Hurtado the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 45th minute of the match Gurdurão got a corner. Novos Troncos's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Fausto Orlondon ran over to the corner to take the kick. The Gurdurão players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Novos Troncos were winning 0-2.
Gurdurão made a substitution. Tião Moura replaced Fausto Orlondon. The wind increased when Faustão Proença made the kick off in the second half. Faustão Proença received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Santo Incera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 58 minutes, Faustão Proença made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. Novos Troncos's Santo Incera tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Faustão Proença managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gurdurão's supporters rose to their feet, but Faustão Proença was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Santo Incera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With an all-out effort, Novos Troncos's Natã Massa threw himself towards the right post 67 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Damiano Ascani, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 68 minutes into the match, Cornelio Olo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Natã Massa, 1-3. Gurdurão made a substitution. Dalmo Santos replaced Evaristo Hurtado. Natã Massa made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Damiano Ascani sent off a good shot on target. In the 80th minute Damiano Ascani shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Natã Massa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Faustão Proença had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Santo Incera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Silvinho Mesquita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The corner led to Gurdurão's Frederico de Amaral getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. 92 minutes into the game, Silvinho Mesquita threw the ball into play from the sideline. Novos Troncos's Cornelio Olo quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Elton Titos hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. When Elton Titos fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gurdurão's protests and gave Elton Titos a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Gurdurão's Elton Titos got a free kick in the 95th minute. Novos Troncos's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
