In the 3rd minute, Benedykt Lanczak made a precise shot to the right of Darrel Pennington. Puianello FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. 9 minutes into the match, Benedykt Lanczak notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Puianello FC's Darrel Pennington. Darrel Pennington was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Benedykt Lanczak might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Darrel Pennington. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Benedykt Lanczak ran back to his position shaking his head. Darrel Pennington took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benedykt Lanczak, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind Kᴇᴛᴇɴçᴀʏɪʀ's goalkeeper Onur-Recep Kıvrak, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Darrel Pennington showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benedykt Lanczak in the 30th minute of the match. Kᴇᴛᴇɴçᴀʏɪʀ's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Mikayıl Malişov in the 31st minute. 34 minutes into the match, Kᴇᴛᴇɴçᴀʏɪʀ's goal looked a bit too open when Angelo Esposito came free, but Onur-Recep Kıvrak reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 47 minutes, Marcell Jacobs mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Puianello FC and the Kᴇᴛᴇɴçᴀʏɪʀ players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Puianello FC's Marcell Jacobs got a free kick in the 47th minute. After the first half Kᴇᴛᴇɴçᴀʏɪʀ were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Benedykt Lanczak was the one to do the kick off. The throw-in from Ferdi Eriş in the 56th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Puianello FC's Francesco Coscia. Göksel Taşdan took the ball and in the 61 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Onur-Recep Kıvrak. Onur-Recep Kıvrak dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Kᴇᴛᴇɴçᴀʏɪʀ's Einar Hedström was substituted for Mikayıl Malişov. Göksel Taşdan took the ball and in the 66 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Onur-Recep Kıvrak. Onur-Recep Kıvrak dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Göksel Taşdan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Göksel Taşdan in the 69th minute of play forced Kᴇᴛᴇɴçᴀʏɪʀ's goalkeeper Onur-Recep Kıvrak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Yağız Macit made in the 76th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Deng Jie Wei immediately put the ball in play. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Göksel Taşdan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Puianello FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Göksel Taşdan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Onur-Recep Kıvrak breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Deng Jie Wei fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Darrel Pennington having to interfere. Puianello FC's Darrel Pennington played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Einar Hedström in the 85th minute of play. Deng Jie Wei could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Darrel Pennington made a huge save. In the 89th minute, one of Kᴇᴛᴇɴçᴀʏɪʀ:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Kᴇᴛᴇɴçᴀʏɪʀ. Marcell Jacobs did an outstanding performance 92 minutes into the match, when he by himself got past the opposing team's defense and with a quick scored 3-2 to the right of an irritated Onur-Recep Kıvrak in the goal. In the 96th minute Göksel Taşdan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Onur-Recep Kıvrak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Puianello FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Kᴇᴛᴇɴçᴀʏɪʀ had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
