The audience thought a goal was coming when Enzo Luongo got free with Peter Schmeichel in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 38 minutes into the match, Enzo Luongo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Peter Schmeichel. A.C. Patagonia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Enzo Luongo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. 42 minutes into the match, Italy's Enzo Luongo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Peter Schmeichel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
