With a left leg Yu Ming Nan saved SC Duisburg 2012 from getting behind. When the match clock showed 35 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Darin Gladichev sped through SC Duisburg 2012's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Yu Ming Nan. If Carmine Berardi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 42nd minute, Darin Gladichev hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thomas Rix came free with the goalkeeper in the 45th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Yu Ming Nan could save by the left post. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.
