The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Grant Sherwood received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Latocayteva F.C.'s defense didn't have a chance, in the 6th minute, when Jake Marriott scored to the left of an out of position Apolo Rius, making the score, 1-0. 15 minutes into the match, Latocayteva F.C.'s goalkeeper Apolo Rius had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jake Marriott. Misael Darroja's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sofoklis Prinianakis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. In the 21st minute of the match Latocayteva F.C. got a corner. Henley on Thames United's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Federico Reyes ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Federico Reyes got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Sofoklis Prinianakis quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 29th minute, Ander Hoyos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Latocayteva F.C.'s Apolo Rius got control of the ball when Carl Houghton tried to sneak it across the goal line. Carl Houghton could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Apolo Rius made a huge save. Apolo Rius showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kristian Ottaway, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Henley on Thames United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Misael Darroja was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Henley on Thames United's Sofoklis Prinianakis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Misael Darroja in the 41st minute of play. After 47 played minutes Henley on Thames United got a freekick which was hit by Joe Wright. Sofoklis Prinianakis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Misael Darroja in the 47th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kristian Ottaway made a kick off. The audience was convinced that Kristian Ottaway's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Apolo Rius was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. In the 68th minute Carl Houghton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Apolo Rius saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Henley on Thames United's João Vítor Donato was substituted for Grant Sherwood. Latocayteva F.C. made a substitution. Gilberto Petrigai replaced Carles Artadi.
