Iacob Povară made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ramazan Şengil in the 14th minute of play. After 30 minutes of play, F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's Francisc Ciocoiu made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Håkan Kinnman was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Luca Pancu managed to get in a good position for a shot. F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's supporters rose to their feet, but Luca Pancu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Håkan Kinnman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match had gone on for 39 minutes, Francisc Ciocoiu put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Håkan Kinnman. An unexpectedly hard shot by Francisc Ciocoiu in the 43rd minute of play forced DOLAPGÜCÜ's goalkeeper Håkan Kinnman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half F.C CLUJ MEDICINA were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

A collision led to DOLAPGÜCÜ getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Hatemi Şahinhan hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Francisc Ciocoiu in the 64th minute of play forced DOLAPGÜCÜ's goalkeeper Håkan Kinnman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Francisc Ciocoiu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If İsmail Cem Kadrettin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Francisc Ciocoiu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Håkan Kinnman made a huge save. Håkan Kinnman stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Francisc Ciocoiu's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. Håkan Kinnman was a little too slow when Gheorghe Bociort got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 79th minute. The score was now 0-3. Håkan Kinnman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francisc Ciocoiu in the 82nd minute of play.
