Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) SAWEX FC's Zbyszko Kajder started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 2nd minute, TAJFUN Giszowiec's Marcin Mocko ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Sigvard Boström. Sigvard Boström yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. In the 5th minute Zbyszko Kajder shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Krzysztof Grocholski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Krzysztof Grocholski didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Olgierd Haszczak went, in the 7th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Krzysztof Grocholski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olgierd Haszczak in the 12th minute of play. In the 16th minute, Sylwester Ziombkowski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Wladyslaw Gejda was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 16th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. TAJFUN Giszowiec's Marcin Mocko got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, TAJFUN Giszowiec's Arkadiusz Cielencki got a free kick in the 25th minute. Krzysztof Grocholski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zbyszko Kajder, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. When the match clock showed 29 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Marcin Mocko sped through SAWEX FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Sigvard Boström. In the 33rd minute Zbyszko Kajder shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Krzysztof Grocholski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Tobiasz Traczewski came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the SAWEX FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tobiasz Traczewski couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zbyszko Kajder in the 36th minute of play forced TAJFUN Giszowiec's goalkeeper Krzysztof Grocholski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 38 minutes into the match, Olaf Hetman had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Krzysztof Grocholski. TAJFUN Giszowiec's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Olaf Hetman was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. In the 41st minute, Tobiasz Traczewski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Wawrzyniec Dziewedik kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Olaf Hetman struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Krzysztof Grocholski didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SAWEX FC. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 2-3.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marcin Mocko stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Krzysztof Grocholski stood somewhat misplaced when Zbyszko Kajder came free in front of goal and shot 2-4 to the left of him in the 54 minute. Krzysztof Grocholski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tobiasz Traczewski, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. After 61 played minutes TAJFUN Giszowiec got a freekick which was hit by Wawrzyniec Dziewedik. SAWEX FC's Sylwester Ziombkowski got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Zbyszko Kajder sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Olaf Hetman managed to get in a good position for a shot. SAWEX FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Olaf Hetman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Krzysztof Grocholski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Arkadiusz Cielencki's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sigvard Boström was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. If Olgierd Haszczak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Krzysztof Grocholski made an important save on a dangerous shot by Olgierd Haszczak in the 80th minute. Zbyszko Kajder dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Krzysztof Grocholski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Olaf Hetman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 93 minutes, Wladyslaw Gejda mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the TAJFUN Giszowiec and the SAWEX FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 95th minute, Sylwester Ziombkowski fired a really elegant long shot, but Krzysztof Grocholski threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. When the match was over SAWEX FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than TAJFUN Giszowiec throughout the match.
