Asbjørn Sundal was left in no man's land by his defense there! After the first half Deportivo Peñarol FIFV were leading 1-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Örjan Forssell made the kick off in the second half. Petru Nisporeanu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Márcio Vilanova's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Deportivo Peñarol FIFV's zone, Pan Xiao Feng stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Petru Nisporeanu came out of the goal and Pan Xiao Feng tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Petru Nisporeanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Márcio Vilanova in the 61st minute of play. Cortez Morera fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Asbjørn Sundal having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Márcio Vilanova in the 85th minute of play forced Deportivo Peñarol FIFV's goalkeeper Petru Nisporeanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 87 minutes into the match, Deportivo Peñarol FIFV's Örjan Forssell sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Asbjørn Sundal narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
