Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Benjamin da Fonseca started the match with the kick off. 6 minutes had been played when some careless play by PIAUÍ FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Saulão Chettle was slow to take the kick. During this time Brazil's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Moisés Santana got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Iurie Chiriacescu quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 9th minute Vladimir de Sena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isaac Ferreira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benjamin da Fonseca scored 1-0 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Iurie Chiriacescu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Isaac Ferreira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baturhan Oytun, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 20 minutes Brazil's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Renato Sá who took care of the corner kick. Paulo Batista kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Iurie Chiriacescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benjamin da Fonseca, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Isaac Ferreira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vladimir de Sena, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. PIAUÍ FC's Iurie Chiriacescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benjamin da Fonseca in the 32nd minute of play. Iurie Chiriacescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benjamin da Fonseca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 36 minutes into the match, Benjamin da Fonseca had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Iurie Chiriacescu. PIAUÍ FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Benjamin da Fonseca was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Benjamin da Fonseca in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Iurie Chiriacescu saved PIAUÍ FC from getting behind. The crowd rose to their feet as Benjamin da Fonseca kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Iurie Chiriacescu. That made the score 3-0 in the 41 minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Brazil's zone, Baturhan Oytun stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Isaac Ferreira came out of the goal and Baturhan Oytun tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. PIAUÍ FC's Iurie Chiriacescu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save PIAUÍ FC from getting a goal against them. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The wind increased when Guga Trancoso made the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Brazil's goal looked a bit too open when Guga Trancoso came free, but Isaac Ferreira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A well-hit corner resulted in Vladimir de Sena heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. 59 minutes into the match, PIAUÍ FC's goal looked a bit too open when Saulão Chettle came free, but Iurie Chiriacescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Baturhan Oytuns short, quick shot in the 64thth minute got Isaac Ferreira to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. With his leg Isaac Ferreira managed to avoid a goal in the 64thth minute, when PIAUÍ FC's Baturhan Oytun fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 66thth minute of the game Maurinho Mendonça who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but PIAUÍ FC's Iurie Chiriacescu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. PIAUÍ FC's Mete Gøl was substituted for Vladimir de Sena. The throw-in from Joaquim Ubiña in the 73rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Brazil's Celsinho Perez. Brazil were awarded a corner in the 80th minute after PIAUÍ FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Celsinho Perez took the corner. Celsinho Perez made a great header on Brazil's corner, it was just that PIAUÍ FC's Iurie Chiriacescu managed to reach the ball for a save. Iurie Chiriacescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maurinho Mendonça, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. PIAUÍ FC's Ezequiel Arce was substituted for Renato Sá. Maurinho Mendonça's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Iurie Chiriacescu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 90th minute of play. Brazil's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
