The Villa Mitre City fans' excitement grew in the 18th match minute when Villa Mitre City's Arsenio Maria looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Silverio Corderun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arsenio Maria in the 20th minute of the match. James Madison took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Silverio Corderun. Silverio Corderun dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kris Wisanggeni in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ariel Ponc prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 31 minutes into the match, C.A. Identidad Soberana's goal looked a bit too open when James Madison came free, but Silverio Corderun reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 36th minute James Madison shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silverio Corderun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Villa Mitre City booed when C.A. Identidad Soberana was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ruben Cordaryal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Silverio Corderun showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arsenio Maria, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.
