An unexpectedly hard shot by Ilie Surugiu in the 12th minute of play forced All Boys 22's goalkeeper Ezequiel Fresco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ezequiel Fresco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Costică Donose, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ezequiel Fresco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ilie Surugiu in the 19th minute of the match. Fabio Abalos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ramachandramurthy Wucherpfennig in the 21st minute of play. In the 24th minute Ilie Surugiu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ezequiel Fresco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Costică Donose scored 1-1 in the 26th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ezequiel Fresco, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. ionion's Fabio Abalos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save ionion from getting a goal against them. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ilie Surugiu in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ezequiel Fresco prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 45 minutes into the match, ionion's goal looked a bit too open when Ramachandramurthy Wucherpfennig came free, but Fabio Abalos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ezequiel Fresco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dragoş Zăvoiu in the 46th minute of the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Ilie Surugiu made the kick off in the second half.
