An unexpectedly hard shot by Oliver Bierhoff in the 4th minute of play forced BAR100LONA's goalkeeper Tadeusz Szotek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 5 minutes into the game, Los Delfines's Oliver Bierhoff nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tadeusz Szotek made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. 8 minutes into the match, Los Delfines's goal looked a bit too open when Clemente Matos came free, but Matías Patrone reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Matías Patrone stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Clemente Matos's shot from short distance in the 8th minute. In the 13th minute Los Delfines were awarded a corner. José Luis Brown went to the cornerflag to take it. Dênis Maia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Oliver Bierhoff in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tadeusz Szotek saved BAR100LONA from getting behind. Oliver Bierhoff might have been able to make a better finish in the 66th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tadeusz Szotek. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. In the 85th minute, Zachary Pliszka ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tadeusz Szotek was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-0. The audience was convinced that Zachary Pliszka's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tadeusz Szotek was relentless in the 89th minute of the game. In the 92nd minute Zachary Pliszka shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tadeusz Szotek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Los Delfines had won after a very even match.
