Uruguaiana booed when Sipo EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Paulo Prata didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maicon Palmeira in the 8th minute of play forced Sipo EC's goalkeeper Genílson Gaspar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Maicon Palmeira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Genílson Gaspar read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. The corner ended in Geovani Mendonça almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Sipo EC's Genílson Gaspar did a great save. In the 15th minute E. C. Uruguaiana were awarded a corner. Flavius Marinescu went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on E. C. Uruguaiana's corner Flavius Marinescu fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Genílson Gaspar quite easily take care of the ball. When the match had gone on for 18 minutes, Maicon Palmeira put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Genílson Gaspar. In the 21stth minute of the game Maicon Palmeira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sipo EC's Genílson Gaspar was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A hard shot 29 in the game by Maicon Palmeira from a close distance when the talented Genílson Gaspar managed to make a qualified save. Sipo EC's players were relieved. José Paulo Prata made in the 31st minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Valdir Arósio however managed to control. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Sipo EC's goalkeeper Genílson Gaspar, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Maicon Palmeira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Maicon Palmeira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. E. C. Uruguaiana were awarded a corner in the 41th minute after Sipo EC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Flavius Marinescu took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Cafu Cruz got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Genílson Gaspar quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Décio Messias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vicente Guimarães having to interfere. Sipo EC's Renan Luz was substituted for Elói Ferreira. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Geovani Mendonça to strike the kick off in the second half. E. C. Uruguaiana's Vicente Guimarães proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save E. C. Uruguaiana from getting a goal against them. Genílson Gaspar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Geovani Mendonça in the 56th minute of play. 59 minutes into the match, Sipo EC's goal looked a bit too open when Maicon Palmeira came free, but Genílson Gaspar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Maicon Palmeira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Genílson Gaspar was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. In the 68th minute, Sipo EC's Valdir Arósio ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Vicente Guimarães. Vicente Guimarães yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. E. C. Uruguaiana's Mauro Maranhense was substituted for Cafu Cruz. E. C. Uruguaiana's Ricardo Schneider was substituted for Clemente Eger. Sipo EC's Genílson Gaspar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maicon Palmeira in the 72nd minute of play. Sipo EC's Genílson Gaspar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maicon Palmeira in the 86th minute of play. 92 minutes into the match, Maicon Palmeira notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of Sipo EC's Genílson Gaspar. Genílson Gaspar was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Genílson Gaspar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maicon Palmeira in the 95th minute of the match. E. C. Uruguaiana's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
